Post 8: A subject you enjoyed studying

 Hello everyone, I hope you enjoy this last post that is made with a lot of love. 

Today I will write about one of may favorite subjects in high school, biology. However, it wasn't always like that, I remember when I was in first grade it was hard for me to understand the subject and I didn't get along very well with the biological systems, however my teacher always had faith in me and helped me a lot. 

Then, came the year when we saw some things about genetics and Mendel's laws and I learned so much, it was like discovering a new world and in that moment I said "OMG I want to dedicate myself to that" and the magic began, I started to be more and more interested in the area, but biology is so diverse that I didn't know what area to choose, in the middle of fourth grade I liked careers like Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, forest engineering, etc, but finally I stayed with biochemistry hahaha and here I am, surviving. 

I remember with great affection my biology teacher, Professor sergio, he always believed in me and pushed me to choose the path of science, I am very grateful to him. 

With this I say goodbye and I hope we will read each other next semester.

    Hello, One cannot always have a good impression of a subject, but with the passage of time it can be made more enjoyable.

Post 2: Why did I choose my major?

When I was a little girl I really liked veterinary medicine, I always played to ''operate" on my stuffed animals and keept them under observation, but I suddenly thought that I would not be emotionally strong enough to sacrifice a pet or operate on it in real life, so I discarded that idea.  Then, when I started high school, I started to like the industrial engineering because i liked mathematics but then I found it a little boring; I also liked forensic medicine because I watched the series CSI, Criminal Minds and NCIS, but I had to study medicine and go through pediatrics (something I never liked).  At the end of high school, I started to like biology and chemistry, and I started to look for careers that would cover those areas and I found biotechnology engineering, I liked it a lot because I felt that it included everything I liked but I did not have the score to enter (so sad 🤧 ) and my 2nd option was biochemistry (I also liked it a lot because I found them similar) a

Post 5: A photo and its story

  Hello everyone, this image represents the practice of yoga. This discipline of Indian origin was created thousands of years ago with spiritual objectives, because it connects the body, the mind and the breath. I started practicing yoga when the pandemic started and it has become very important to me, because mentally, it has helped me to relax, reduce stress and anxiety, and physically I have been able to improve my flexibility, balance and strength, it has helped in my general wellbeing.  There are many styles of yoga, the most known are Ashtanga, Bikram, Hatha, Viniyoga, Integral, Iyengaretc, Kundalini, etc. However, the ones I like and practice the most are Ashtanga and Hatha. Something very important is to listen to the body, since there are postures that can be very difficult and can cause injuries, but undoubtedly practicing yoga has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I don't know who did the illustration but it was very nice and it transmits me a lot of peace

Hello everyone, today i will talk about who I am         Well, my name is Elisa Gutierrez, I'm 19 years old and  I'm a biochemistry student at the Universidad de Chile. I was born in Estacion Central but I've lived all my life in Peñaflor, a small commune in the metropolitan region, I really like where I live, it's very quiet, but it's a bit far from Santiago. I am the youngest of 3 siblings. I have 2 dogs (gary and leia) and 1 cat (chapita), they are my life. My family is from Mallarauco, so every year we   go there on vacation.      I really like to paint and draw, when I have time I draw a lot, I tried to play guitar but i never learned, I love to eat pizza, sushi and French fries and I hate spiders, they scare me..... That's all about me 💙💙
