Post 6: How can your mayor make the world a better place?
Biochemistry is very important because it's in charge of studying the chemical composition of living beings, especially proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids. Without it we couldn't understand the processes of photosynthesis, protein synthesis, metabolism, etc. and although all this looks very scientific, it has many applications in everyday life, for example thanks to Biochemistry we can establish the parameters to have a balanced diet, and something much more current are the vaccines against COVID-19 because to create them biochemical analysis is needed.
In the future I would like to be able to contribute to the issues that most affect us as inhabitants of this earth, which would be health and the environment, I would also like to help people understand the importance of science, so that we can all build a better world (and future) for everyone.
